Holiday Rom-Com ARC Signups: Hurry Down the Chimney

For the past several months, I’ve been tucked away in my writing corner with a bottomless coffee cup, working through revisions of my holiday rom-com, Hurry Down the Chimney.
Every sentence has been polished, every character arc tightened, and now—finally—the finish line is in sight. Soon, I’ll be inviting early readers to join me as ARC reviewers.
This story came to life in the most unexpected way. A few Christmases ago, I stumbled across an interview with Phillip Springer, one of the songwriters behind Santa Baby. He spoke about how he and his partner never imagined their “silly little song” would leave such a lasting impression. That interview sent me down a rabbit hole of imagining the moment that song was born. What would it have been like to write something flirty, a little scandalous, and so different from the polished carols of the time? Who were the voices behind it?
That spark turned into Judy Jacobs and Ira Silverman, two unlikely songwriters navigating smoky Manhattan bars, artsy Village nights, Harlem clubs, and the gilded ballrooms of the Plaza and Waldorf-Astoria in 1953. At the heart of it all is their song—one that shocks the censors—and a slow-burn romance that feels as timeless as the season itself.
I’ve poured so much into making Hurry Down the Chimney both fun and rich in historical detail—a story that sparkles with holiday magic but also carries the wit and bite of a true rom-com.
If you love early peeks behind the curtain, keep an eye out—sign-up here to get on the ARC reader list. I’ll be giving out 20 advance digital copies starting October 5. I’d love for you to be one of the first to step into this world with me.
Stay tuned, and in the meantime—picture yourself with a glass of champagne, the crackle of a record player, and a holiday song that just might change everything.
